Remember?

I came across a saying about drinking wine in the past, the meaning of which is something like that:
"When you are young, you don't know how to appreciate wine.  It takes time to learn... at the end when you have mastered it, you are about to die.."

I think it is very true, though sad.  Unfortunately I cannot find the original quote in internet.
