Whistleblower

Discovered some malpractice in an organisation.  Consulted a mentor who worked there before.  Below is the reply from him:
 
"The model of XXX is strange (I don't want to say it is messy as I am no longer with this company). While I was in XXX, ......... was one of the issues I raised to Management but finally the Front Office did not agree and they insisted to follow their practice. My useless boss YYY just wanted to take it low profile................. such trades should violate the statutory rules/guidelines.  I raised it out but finally I was also asked to keep my mouth shut.
 
From my point of view.........it is not your concern as long as...... For the risk issue, leave it to your boss and my suggestion is "please don't" to be too high profile on this.  No matter you are right or wrong, you can easily be a scapegoat.
 
From my point of view, as it should also be a compliance issue, you may suggest to check with Compliance.  However, just for your information...........I tried to get advice from Compliance but they just hid away.  So, you might have the same experience.
 
Maybe you can think of this................ Please keep your mouth shut and don't get ZZZ's team into trouble................."
