GST
A very controversial topic recently in HK. Personally, I have no objection if the government will reduce the salaries tax. However, I don't think the government will be able to introduce the new tax because of the overwhelming opposition in the society. Unlike Singapore, we don't have a strong government in HK.

老馮日記
老馮 rang me up yesterday to call off the gathering with 硬漢 and me because he would have to attend some important meetings this evening.
He asked me for lunch today. He told me he was busy preparing for a presentation to senior management on the progress of his project. Surprisingly, he was not too concerned about the terrorist attack in India the day before.
He also told me he was planning to go to Thailand with his family this summer vacation. I told me Thailand had just been rated as the most dangerous travel destination. He laughed it off.

Railways
Today bought 2 commemorative coins for Tibet-Qinghai Railway.

I always have the passion of travel by rail. I have tried Glacier Express, Rocky Mountaineer and so on. However, I think it is very hard for me to go to Tibet/Qinghai without someone's approval. The next dream travel by rail may then be in Australia: (1) the Indian Pacific route from Sydney to Perth or (2) the Ghan route from Adelaide to Darwin. Don't know when I can make it.
